Corporate Archives is the guardian of Zurich's corporate memory and shows the development of our company in a larger historical, strategic and cultural context. We collect and keep historical and business relevant records of the company and make them accessible. We also act as a center of excellence for records management. In other words, we keep today's knowledge and knowhow for tomorrow's decision makers.
As Head of Corporate Archives, you will be responsible for preserving and organizing historical documents, records, and artifacts that hold significance for Zurich's 150 year old history and operations. The Head of Corporate Archives reports to the Company Secretary and Head of Board Office and is hence, part of Group Legal.

What you will do
- Strategically manage the corporate history & historical archives, ensuring the long-term archiving of important records for traceability of strategic decisions.
- Responsibility for the Zurich Heritage Center and conducting guided tours. Assist with research and responds to inquiries related to the organization's history and heritage.
- Evaluate historical sources and effectively report the history of people, and products.
- Provide support to business units on historical issues and offer advice on setting up their own archives.
- Manage the infrastructure for electronic records management and archiving.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to recordkeeping and archiving, such as data privacy, retention policies, and public access to certain records.
What you bring
- University degree in history.
- Experience in a corporate archive would be desirable.
- Experience in corporate history,archiving and handling of confidential records.
- Ability to summarize complex corporate history in a simple and understandable way.
- Familiarity with current business and economic trends.
- Forward-thinking mindset with knowledge of electronic archiving processes and standards.
- Excellent leadership and relationship management skills.
- Fluent in German and English.
