Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly motivated individual for a temporary assignment, May 2025 - April 2026, to join their team as a Sample Management Officer. This role involves planning and executing logistical processes related to reference sample management and global shipping orders at the site level. The successful candidate will act as a point of contact for the project team regarding logistics-related requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistical Processes: Plan and execute tasks related to reference sample management and shipment orders.
- Sample Preparation: Perform aliquoting and manage the inventory of reference substances (both electronic and physical).
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to cost, quality, quantity, and schedules for all assigned tasks, and compliance with relevant SOPs, GMP, GLP, QM, HSE, ISRM & Novartis guidelines.
- Digital Initiatives: Optionally contribute as a subject matter expert.
- Documentation: Create, review, and approve raw data documents for internal and/or external customers.
- Customer Interaction: Serve as the main contact person for internal customers and provide guidance to colleagues.
Requirements:
- Education: Completed vocational training in dispatch planning, pharmaceutical development, logistics in the GMP area, or equivalent.
- Languages: Fluent in the site-specific language (oral and written), with basic knowledge of English.
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in global shipping logistics. Additional knowledge in analytical development or manufacturing is advantageous.
- Skills: Proficiency in software and computer tools, mastery of quality principles (GMP, ALCOA+), high organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Personality: Hands-on approach.
