We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations Project Portfolio Management & PMO with extensive expertise in portfolio management, governance frameworks, and cross-functional project leadership. Based in our Zurich office, you will lead the Operations Project Portfolio Management & PMO Team, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, resource allocation, and project execution excellence. This unique role combines responsibility for setting up and managing the operations project portfolio, supporting transformation initiatives, and leading a team of Operations project managers with a focus on cross-functional projects.
Your Mission

Portfolio Setup and Governance: Establish and manage the Operations project portfolio, including defining guardrails, implementing prioritization frameworks, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals

Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Transformation Office to ensure projects within the Operations project portfolio contribute to the organization’s broader transformation objectives

Leadership of Project Managers: Lead and mentor a team of Operations project managers, providing direction, coaching, and oversight to drive successful project execution and delivery

Cross-Functional Focus: Oversee cross-functional projects that span multiple departments, ensuring clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and seamless integration across functions

Performance Management: Monitor and report on Operations project portfolio and project performance, ensuring projects deliver value, adhere to timelines, and operate within defined constraints

Resource Optimization: Ensure effective resource allocation and capacity planning across the Operations project portfolio, balancing operational needs with strategic priorities
