You as a Commercial/Contract Manager, will be part of Strategy & Governance team within Hitachi
Energy supply chain . You are responsible for the contract management areas, providing contract
management services to the SCM, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in
accordance with corporate directives and instructions including procedures, contract management
framework and General Terms & Conditions of contracts. Your expertise in commercial & contract
management will extend to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will work closely
with the Legal & Integrity department and the sourcing teams, supporting category managers in
negotiating supply agreements with strategic suppliers. You will work within a complex environment of
change management where it is expected that your ability to solve problems and proactively tackle
issues adds value to SCM and Hitachi Energy.
How you'll make an impact
• Review legal global agreements and assisting the SCM team members in negotiations of
contract with suppliers.
• Work with subject matter experts in all areas (tax, insurance, compliance, privacy etc)
• Responsible for all SCM contractual templates. Handling the signature & archiving process for
global contracts and revision & updates of General Terms & Conditions.
• Creation & update of the processes and guidelines in contract management & legal area.
Maintenance of the contract management SharePoint.
• Provide the face-2-face legal trainings to SCM Community. Revising & updating the existing
training materials.
• Support the contract management & legal related project (roll out of new contract
management tool, creation of new templates & supporting documents).

Your background
• Minimum 10 years of experience in legal/contract management within international
environment.
• Strong legal background on the procurement side with comprehension on issues related to
commodity risk, foreign exchange risk, and tax matters.
• Experience in direct contracts negotiation in English language.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating multi MUSD supply agreements.
• Ability to work in short deadlines and under the time pressure.
• Ability to work in stressful environment.
• Experience in communication with senior stakeholders.
• Self-driven and experienced to operate at the strategic, tactical and operational levels.
• Service minded and with the mind set to support the business High level change
management and communication skills.
• Strong project management and people leadership skills and experience Fluent in English,
other languages are an added advantage.
