This role is responsible for execution of Trade Operations Delivery and ensuring deliverables are completed efficiently and accurately. Focus will be within the overall boundary of TWCS Ops around Import, Exports, Collections, Guarantee, Receivables & Payables finances, etc in accordance with the Bank Operating procedures, underlying regulations and other Trade related international banking practices like UCP, URC, documentary nuances, etc
Responsibilities:
- To oversee India ISA (maintenance) process playing a crucial role in setting up (onboarding) Clients into various Citi Systems; provided its complexity & high impact on client deals and closely monitor the same
- Work on the Target Operating Model (TOM) for ISA and work with stakeholders to establish a broader TOM across all ISA functions.
- Own Trade MIS function synthesizing management insights and regulatory reporting feeds for India Trade & Working Capital products along with providing adhoc support during Audits, RBS etc.
- Drive the Data Governance via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), etc. for performance monitoring of underlying units and overall TWCS Operations
- Oversee activities that support data quality resolution, and to optimize metrics reporting process
- Facilitate large end to end, cross functional, process review sessions to understand current state and build future state.
- Support the leadership in managing the projects, by compiling and analyzing progress on the various aspects of the process improvement programs.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day needs of the program which involves tracking progress, removing barriers and providing cross functional leadership.
- This role entails strategic thinking, problem-solving along with providing strong oversight to existing processes under purview, and working towards its continuous improvement.
- Ability to interact, influence and work with stakeholders from different business verticals- Relationship, Coverage, Trade Product, Trade Sales, etc. and ensuring a stable operating environment.
- Evaluate existing as well as new products/ services, operating flows and process design and provide recommendations on ways to improve the effectiveness/ efficiency of the transactions related to the same.
- Contribute to business and financial planning, budget management, productivity initiatives, regional and Global strategy & initiatives, and formulation of right procedures.
- This role will be managing a team of experienced Trade Finance Operations professionals
- This role expects an adequate understanding of Trade and Working Capital products, trade workflows and processes.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in Banking/Finance industry with adequate understanding of Trade & Working Capital business and an openness to learn.
- Experience in Citi Lean or equivalent Methodology preferred to drive process improvement initiatives.
- Communicates effectively and in a way that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Experience in MIS, Data analytics type of roles managing metrics and data quality resolution.
- Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals
- Ability to identify issues and problems, map processes, generate solutions
- Promotes good working relationships across a project, cultivating the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all of project's stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will make use of the project's results, and the project team members
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
