First Catering AG is a joint venture of Nimo Holding AG and Gate Gourmet Schweiz AG - the leading companies in the field of airline catering, retail on board and hospitality products, and operates over 128 catering facilities, in 28 countries, on 6 continents. Our passion is to offer our airline customers and their passengers an exceptional experience - from menu design to execution and delivery. We produce up to 35’000 meals a day for international airlines such as Edelweiss Air, Helvetic Airways and Qatar Airways, and employ up to 300 people.
To strengthen our Commercial Team in Bassersdorf, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager (100%):
Your Mission:
- Managing airline customer accounts and their key account managers.
- Identifying key decision-makers at the client and understanding their strategic business challenges and priorities.
- Mentoring and managing account managers, including responsibilities for recruitment, training, development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Leading the unit’s account management function including customer contract management, tenders, financials and profitability, menu development process, customer presentations
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation, high quality standards, and challenging the status quo to benefit the customer and overall business objectives.
- Actively pursuing opportunities for customer growth and new business.
- Supporting high-level stakeholders within the group
- Close cooperation with internal interfaces
Your Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior account management, preferably in the airline catering or hospitality industry.
- Hotel management school or gastronomy background preferred
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a focus on financials and profitability.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, additional languages are a plus.
- Experience in contract management, pricing and customer relationship management.
- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives and a ‘Can-do’ attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex customer issues and complaints.
- Familiarity with MS-Office programs and affinity for working with it and managing Gategroup’s ERP systems.
