Senior M&A Manager (100%)

The SIX M&A team is part of the "Corporate Development" unit within the CFO area of SIX. The team is responsible for the group-wide M&A activities as well as the corporate investment management. As part of our team you will contribute significantly to the development of the SIX group and its business units by initiating and managing M&A projects, as well as contributing and supporting the management of SIX' portfolio of strategic minority investments. You will gain immediate exposure to SIX management across the Business Units and SIX Group, and in the mid- to long-term have the opportunity for further development within SIX. M&A activities in the last years included amongst others the acquisition of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) and the offer for Acquis Exchange, the carve-out of SIX Payment Services and subsequent strategic partnership with Worldline, as well as multiple strategic minority investments and acquisitions (e.g. Ultumus, RegisTR and Swiss Fund Data).
What You Will Do:
- Lead complex M&A projects and conduct financial analysis and assess companies
- Prepare documents and present to internal committees for decision-making
- Manage price and contract negotiations and work in close collaboration with internal and external lawyers
- Support business units in the development and implementation of M&A based strategies
- Structured screening, assessing and prioritizing of M&A opportunities in the market
- Corporate investment management, including potential representation of SIX on company boards
What You Bring
- Bachelor or Master degree and/or higher education (MBA preferred) as well as several (5+) years of relevant working experience in M&A and/or corporate finance
- Profound skills in corporate finance, assessment of companies and due diligence - Highly motivated personality with initiative and used to working independently
- Flexible and team-oriented person with very good communication skills
- Very result-oriented working style and strong determination to achieve goals with high quality standards, including good analytical and conceptual skills
- Fluent English is a must and fluent German is strongly preferred, Spanish is a plu
