What you will do
- You design, develop, and implement Guidewire solutions, ideally PolicyCenter, and configure/customize Guidewire applications using the Gosu programming language, ensuring the quality of deliverables through unit testing and participation in code reviews
- You integrate Guidewire products with external systems such as third-party services, databases, and legacy systems
- You work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely analysis and delivery of solutions
- You collaborate with Domain and Enterprise Architecture teams on strategy and architecture development, implementing group-wide and local Enterprise Architecture specifications within the domain
- You provide technical expertise in Guidewire upgrades, enhancements, and new feature implementations
What you bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with 6+ (or 8+) years of programming experience, preferably in a Guidewire environment. Database knowledge is a plus
- Several years of hands-on Guidewire experience, ideally with Cloud Platform (GWCP), and strong understanding of Guidewire Data and Product Models
- Experience with Guidewire configuration and integration, understanding integration patterns, microservices, and API design. Familiar with Guidewire API, GX Model, Guidewire Studio, REST, GUnit, and SQL
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps, focusing on high code quality and understanding CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Skills in performance tuning and optimization of Guidewire applications, mentoring junior developers, leading technical discussions, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
