Kitchen Helper – Fine Dining Japanese Restaurant

Restaurant Seam is a newly opening fine dining Japanese restaurant in Zurich, and we are looking for a Kitchen Helper to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning from an experienced Kaiseki chef from Japan and gaining knowledge in authentic Japanese fine dining cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following hygiene standards
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, cutting, and ingredient preparation
• Take care of garbage disposal and kitchen waste management
• Ensure all tools and workspaces are sanitized and ready for use
• Support chefs with stocking and organizing ingredients
• Learn from a newly arriving chef from Japan and gain experience in fine dining Japanese cuisine

Requirements:

• No prior experience required, but kitchen experience is a plus
• Strong interest in Japanese cuisine and fine dining
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist where needed
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards (training provided)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
