Join us as our next Market Surveillance Officer and play a key role in keeping things transparent, compliant, and above board. You'll dive into market conduct analysis, manage surveillance tools, spot suspicious trading behavior, and work hand-in-hand with Traders, Compliance, and other key teams across the business.
If you're someone with solid experience in commodity trading especially in the Energy sector, know your way around EU market rules, and have a sharp, analytical mind—this might be your next big move! Location: preferred Olten or Lausanne.
Your main responsibilities
- Responsible for Group market conduct analysis
- Manage the trade surveillance tool
- Evaluate the surveillance tool alerts
- Identify other suspicious trading behavior
- Monitor open position limits obligations
- Regular contact to Traders
- Escalate suspicious findings
- Support of Trade Compliance activities
- Cooperate with other departments (especially with Trading, Front Support, Regulatory etc.)
- Communicate with regulators, trading venues, and system vendors
Your profile
- University or BA degree in technical, engineering, business, legal or finance plus 5+ years' experience in a relevant position
- Advanced knowledge of commodity trading is a must-have
- Knowledge of the EU applicable rules on market conduct
- Experience with the management of a surveillance tool
- Willingness to learn new things, a proactive approach and willing to mentor junior colleagues
- Analytical mind and orientation on results
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English; German or French is a plus
