Your responsibilities
- Discovery: You’ll run discovery campaigns to deliver high-quality Athebody® DARPin therapeutic candidates to our partners, using ribosome display. Work with our experts to interpret results, evaluate hits and prioritize.
- Independent Worker: Be a team player and support the team by planning and execution of work packages with minimal support.
- Data Mastery: Analyze and interpret data, then summarize and present key messages to the team and management, to enable efficient decision making.
- Knowledge Expansion: Continuously expand your scientific and technical expertise.
- Scientific Excellence: Maintain rigorous standards in your experiments, striving for scientific excellence.
- Lab Equipment Care: Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our laboratory equipment.
Key requirements
- Apprenticeship, BSc, or MSc in a field of Life Sciences, e.g., biochemistry, (molecular/chemical) biology or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years of drug discovery experience in industry.
- Strong experience in modern molecular biology techniques including routine work with DNA, RNA and PCR-based methods. A careful and clean working style is essential for reliable results.
- Hands-on experience in selection and screening of binding proteins, with ribosome display, phage display or similar.
- Knowledge of protein expression, purification and characterization is an advantage.
- Timely, independent, and precise in the planning, execution and documentation of experiments.
- Critical thinking and a problem-solving attitude.
- Team player with proactive communication and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with IT and communication tools, electronic lab journals, and profound knowledge of Microsoft Office – advanced skills in Excel would be a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English– German would be a plus.
