Finance Business Partner | Oncology & Specialty Switzerland (m/f/d)
The role of Finance Business Partner for GSK Switzerland is an opportunity to join the Europe One Finance community and drive performance across our region.
In this role, you will act as the Commercial Finance Partner for Oncology & Specialty Business Units, and will be directly involved in driving business performance and supporting decision-making with critical business insights.
Your mission is to be a true business partner, providing a strong voice in challenging and influencing decision-making. This involves interfacing with commercial teams and regional finance, providing financial analysis and insights and identifying opportunities for savings and growth. You will be responsible for sales forecasting and SG&A management to ensure profitability and support GSK’s commitment to growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Brand Performance
- Performance Analysis: Contribute to the performance management and analysis of business results, building strong understanding of market dynamics (Sales, SG&A, Profit, Headcount, Working Capital)
- P&L Management: Full understanding of the P&L and headcount for the relevant Business Units, supporting the business in achieving their targets
- Resource Allocation: Support the business in the annual budget setting process for the cross functional therapy area team, with focus on optimising resource allocation and management of risks and opportunities. Support the commercial team in tracking their expenses throughout the year, proactively identifying opportunities.
Financial Forecasting & Reporting
- Forecasting (Core Commercial Cycle): Partner with commercial, supply chain, and insights teams to deliver monthly DRM, annual plans, and soft-landing estimates, understanding and challenging assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Launch Support: Support launch forecasts for pipeline opportunities, utilizing data sources to model volume assumptions and impact of pricing decisions
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial analysis at month-end, providing insights to analyse performance and support financial entries.
Pricing Optimization & Market Dynamics
- Pricing Governance: Partner with Market Access and other experts to support pricing approval governance, performing analysis of impact of pricing decisions in order to support decision making
- Market Analysis: Understand overall market dynamics, relative market positioning of products, market access situation, and future trends
Investment & Growth Opportunities
- ROI Analysis: Model investment and growth opportunities using ROI analysis, supporting the business in making investment decisions when opportunities arise
- Margin & Cashflow Enhancement: Deliver margin enhancement initiatives through innovative cost control and utilise both internal and external benchmarking for best-in-class cost management.
Projects and Ad Hoc Analysis
- Project Management: Work on ad hoc projects, supporting the Finance Director and leadership team with management presentations showcasing critical insights and recommendations
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial and business modelling to support the business unit lead and other stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
- Finance or business degree and/or Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, MBA or international equivalent).
- several years experience in financial roles, preferably in a multinational company
- Basic experience in financial modelling and forecasting, and using analysis to drive decision making
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning/ forecasting, including understanding of financial systems and processes

- Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrix environment
- Ability to connect with and influence business stakeholders
- Ability to clearly communicate insights and complex business and financial information in a simple and compelling way to non-finance audiences
- Ability to work in and support change in a complex, fast-moving environment with multiple priorities.
- A learning mindset; continuously looking for opportunities to learn, build skills and challenge existing ways of working
- Language; English is a must, German or French is a plus
