Your team
T echnology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.
Join our Reconciliation team, a dedicated operations team responsible for the periodic reconciliation of private assets investments. Our mission is to enhance efficiency and accuracy by integrating AI-driven solutions into our processes. As part of this internship, you will also engage with the AI Centre of Excellence, part of the dynamic Technology & Operations division. This team specialises on cutting-edge research on AI and ML techniques, with a focus on generative AI and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
We are seeking a Master’s or PhD student for a six-month internship (not involving a master’s thesis). You will be instrumental in pioneering projects that are shaping the future of banking.
Your role
- Analyse our current reconciliation processes and identify areas where AI can be applied.
- Explore how to apply AI solutions to a variety of investment types and data processes beyond private assets.
- Develop proficiency in state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Actively contribute to developing and deploying AI modules to automate data extraction and reconciliation from various documents.
- Assist in training team members on new AI tools and processes.
Your profile
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Communication Systems or a related field.
- Demonstrated software development skills, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Comfortable with data science techniques and proficient in pandas library.
- Practical experience with ChatGPT or equivalent conversational AI platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with API development and integration.
- Autonomous work ethic complemented by a strong capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
- Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
