Site Finance Head Switzerland
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Finance Head to lead the financial operations at our site in Kaiseraugst. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making processes to support business objectives. This position will require a dynamic leader with strong financial and business acumen and the ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.
Job Description
- Financial Leadership:
- Lead and manage the site's finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the site's leadership team, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to site management on all financial matters, providing insights to optimize performance.
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the site’s operational and strategic plans.
- Lead cost management initiatives and identify opportunities for cost reduction or efficiency improvements.
- Accounting & Compliance:
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
- Manage internal controls and ensure proper financial processes are adhered to in line with corporate governance and audit requirements.
- Oversee tax reporting and compliance for the site, collaborating with external advisors as needed.
- Operational Support:
- Partner with site operations teams to drive performance improvements, cost control measures, and capital expenditure planning.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze financial trends to inform decision-making.
- Provide financial insight into production, inventory, and supply chain management, supporting operational excellence.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop the local finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Provide mentorship and training to finance team members, ensuring continuous professional development.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including senior management, operations, and external auditors.
- Communicate financial performance and key issues to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior finance role
- At least 5 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in managing a finance team and working with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with MS Dynamics 365 is a plus.
