HxDR is a cloud-based platform developed by Hexagon where we bring geospatial- and reality capture data to a wide range of users. As a major device manufacturer Hexagon offers great potential in capturing the world and HxDR is the platform to store, transform, host, and stream this data to a global customer base.
As a Software Engineer on the backend, you will help develop solutions for Hexagon's cloud based Digital Reality platform. The software you work on will be responsible for managing access to and providing streaming and processing services for large geospatial datasets ranging from a few GBs to literally Petabytes of data. Given the sheer size and complexity of the domain you will take part in a team that pushes the technology and infrastructure to its limits. Your solid knowledge in software engineering best practices, programming languages, data structures and algorithms, will help you and the team find the right solutions to solve relevant problems in our domain.

This is you
- Getting from a problem statement to a workable architecture and software design using OOP, OOD, and general software engineering best practices
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, ideally working with a variety of tools and frameworks, including Java, Java Spring Boot or similar languages and frameworks
- Problem solving and a strong analytical mindset
- Proven use of Docker and containerization across different platforms and operating systems
- A thorough understanding of microservices and distributed systems
- Coaching the team and fostering a culture of continuous growth and learning
- CI/CD both the principles
