At IBM Research-Europe Zurich, we are expanding the Education & Workforce EMEA Team, a team of international, diverse, highly skilled and motivated individuals focused on educating the next generation of quantum ready workforce and further develop our community of Qiskit users in EMEA. We are looking for IBM Quantum Education Intern to strengthen the team.

You will be working at IBM Research-Europe Zurich , located in Rüschlikon. The starting date is March 2025.

At IBM Research-Europe Zurich, we are expanding the Education & Workforce EMEA Team, a team of international, diverse, highly skilled and motivated individuals focused on educating the next generation of quantum ready workforce and further develop our community of Qiskit users in EMEA. We are looking for IBM Quantum Education Intern to strengthen the team.
- Learn the latest tools and capabilities in Qiskit
- Work on educational material in particular developing Qiskit Jupyter notebooks
- Organize events/community activities
- Work on cross team projects in a truly global environment
- Get access to state-of-the-art quantum processors
- Gain a broad experience in quantum research
- Get exposure to the wide range of research happening at IBM Research
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry
- Solid Quantum Computing knowledge
- Proficient in Qiskit
- Enthusiasm for outreach and community building events
- Based in Zurich
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry with a focus on quantum computing (for example during internship or master thesis)
- Deep knowledge of Quantum Computing and its applications
- Proven experience in Qiskit (papers, GitHub repo, etc.)
- Have attended/participated in IBM Quantum events/programs such as: Qiskit Advocate, IBM Quantum Challenge, Qiskit Global Summer School, etc.
- Some experience in teaching
