For the re-opening of our new boutique at Rue du Rhône in Geneva, we are looking for an experienced Boutique Manager.
As a Boutique Manager at Gübelin, you will serve as the face of the brand, delivering an exceptional luxury shopping experience to discerning clients.
You will lead a team of skilled sales associates, driving performance through a combination of leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for fine jewellery and horology.
Tasks
Sales & Customer Experience Management
- Act as an official representative of the House of Gübelin for internal/external stakeholders
- Develop a coherent, localized business strategy to sustainably drive boutique performance
- Actively acquire new clients, and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients
- Drive the highest customer satisfaction and client experience along the customer journey
Team Management
- Act as an inspiring leader for a high-performing sales team
- Create/foster a collaborative, positive and performance-driven work environment
- Set and execute clear qualitative and quantitative targets, incl. regular performance reviews
- Develop, train and further educate team
Operations
- Oversee and ensure smooth daily operations of the boutique
- Continuously challenge & improve workflows, processes and create best practices
- Effectively monitor/implement VM guidelines in collaboration with HQ
- Continuously control and manage inventory/stock
Financial Management & Reporting
- Play an active role in the definition and deployment of quantitative targets
- Manage budgets & costs
- Continuously report business, sales and costs developments to Retail Management via monthly/yearly reports
Marketing Management
- Closely collaborate with marketing department to define, plan and execute in-store and out-of-store marketing measures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business/hospitality or commercial apprenticeship in retail incl. further training in business management
- Additional industry-oriented education and skills development in the jewellery/watchmaking sector (e.g. education in gemology)
- Several years of work experience in the luxury and/or high-end jewellery/watchmaking industry, as boutique or deputy boutique manager
- Fluency in French & English, German and/or other languages advantageous
- Strong business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and management skills
- Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Holistic understanding of retail operations
- Well-groomed appearance and impeccable etiquette
