IHRE AUFGABEN
- Operate: Take ownership by managing and maintaining the existing Web Application Firewall (WAF) infrastructure collaboratively with our global team of highly qualified WAF engineers.
- Troubleshoot: Analyze and resolve technical issues related to WAF as part of our 2nd and 3rd level support organization.
- Enhance security: Implement additional protective measures on the WAF to bolster the security of web applications and APIs.
- Integrate new applications: Onboard new web applications and APIs into the WAF infrastructure.
- Continuously improve: Drive ongoing enhancements in service reliability, security, automation and performance of the WAF infrastructure.
YOUR PROFILE
- Experience: Minimum of two years hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Nevis, Airlock, USP Security Entry Server, F5, Imperva, Cloudflare WAF, or open-source alternatives such as ModSecurity.
- Security Expertise: Deep understanding of security best practices for web applications and APIs.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting and structured problem-solving.
- Authentication & Federation: Experience with authentication and federation mechanisms such as SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
- Networking Fundamentals: Strong foundation in networking principles, with advanced knowledge of the internet protocol suite (TCP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, etc.).
- Linux Experience: Good technical understanding of Linux operating systems and command line tools. Virtualization and Containerization know-how is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Languages: Fluency in spoken and written German and English.
- Collaboration & Ownership: Team player, effective collaborator with a strong sense of ownership.
- Education & Certification: Higher professional education (Swiss Federal Diploma or equivalent) or relevant certification (e.g., CISSP) is preferred.
