As an important liaison between clients and company managers, Art Transportation Specialists provide leadership and guidance during projects, ensuring the safe handling of artworks for packing/crating, in transit, and during onsite projects. In addition, our drivers are responsible for ensuring the safety of all items during transit.

Tuition Reimbursement
Pay: $23.00 -$28.00/HR-3-5 Years Experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Los Angeles, CA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Professionally install & de-install artwork in museums, galleries, private estates, and institutions
Professionally pack and crate artwork
Handle and move artworks, including wrapping, packing,
and crating using appropriate
Install/de-install artworks during onsite projects using proper techniques and tools
Assist on rigging/heavy object movement with Gantry/Forklift/Crane or other specialized equipment
Load/unload trucks to ensure safe transit
Plan the organization and packing of trucks to ensure utmost safety of objects
Conduct inspection reports for various types of art objects
Lead a team, providing guidance and coaching during projects
Act as liaison while onsite between clients and company management
Determine strategy for projects, particularly when senior staff are not onsite
Safely operate company vehicle; transport art to their destinations
Perform all required truck inspections
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum: high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
1-2 years experience within the fine arts transportation or specialized removals industry
Industry-standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and materials
Strong communication with clients and coworkers
Strong attention to detail, discretion, and follow-through ; self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
Lift and move heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs), bend, kneel, crouch, stand
DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to safely operate 26-ft box truck, at minimum
Valid driver’s license
Clean/Clear driving record with ability to pass all driving check
CDL license not required but preferred
Travel: Local = 95% Overnight = 5%
