The stroke Unit of Inselspital, University Hospital Bern treats >1000 stroke patients per year possessing long-standing expertise in care of stroke patients. Our interdisciplinary stroke team conducts dozens of national and international research studies resulting in > 300 publications in international journals per year.
What you can expect
The current project is SNF-funded. The project aims at discovering and establishment of proxies predicting post-stroke cognitive trajectories to improve the patient care after stroke and to reduce the impact of (post-stroke) dementia. Besides the longitudinal neuropsychological testing and behavioral assessment of stroke patients, the candidate will analyze the individual pre- and post-stroke behavioral proxies and clinical MRI images to evaluate lesion anatomy and other imaging proxies of stroke recovery.
Your Profile
- Master degree in (neuro)psychology
- excellent written and spoken German
- a strong interest in clinical neuropsychology and patient-centered research
- basic knowledge in neuropsychological testing
- basic knowledge in basic programming (MATLAB, R), advanced skills in programming will be an advantage
- experience in neuroimaging analysis or motivation to become acquainted with it
- excellent written English skills, ability to work independently and together with a research team
