Mycrobez, a Basel-based clean-tech startup, is revolutionizing the packaging- and construction- industry by supplying a pricecompetitive and completely biodegradable material-alternative to Styrofoam®, Medium-density fiber boards, and plastics: mushroom-based composites (mycelium composites). They achieve this with their innovative bioprocess and by automating the whole production process. Mycrobez is in collaboration with many renowned research institutes and universities, as well as with a multitude of globally leading companies in their respective fields, and is supported by the «Migros Pionierfonds». The growing diverse team of 18 motivated and curious people aims to achieve their goals by operating out of their custom facilities in Basel.

As a Cleaning specialist at Mycrobez, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, by cleaning laboratories and production rooms to ensure a hygienic environment for our mycelium to grow.

Key responsibilities:

• Thorough and hygienic cleaning of laboratories and production areas in accordance with strict hygiene standards.
• Careful disinfection of work surfaces, equipment, and sensitive areas to ensure cleanliness and safety in lab and production environments.
• Monitor and restock supplies, including disinfectants, soap, and paper towels. Reporting any repair or maintenance needs to the relevant departments.

Requirements:

• Very precise and hygiene-conscious work approach, combined with high reliability.
• Willingness to work early mornings and evenings.
• Experience in cleaning laboratories or production areas is an advantage but not required.
