In this role, you will:

Safety:
-
Ensure EHS and Regulatory compliance requirements are adhered to and that accurate records are kept with regards to Plant and Machinery.
-
Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations always. (e.g.10 critical safety rules, three obligations, machinery non-negotiables, etc.)
-
Ensure safety job cards are prioritised and are completed in a timely manner by the responsible area teams.
-
Carry out proactive safety inspections and active monitoring.
-
Manage contracts and contractor control procedures and rules for the department.
-
Understand and adhere to environmental, legal and KCC statutory requirements.
-
Engineering, Maintenance & Quality:
-
Carry out root cause analyses on repeat defective equipment.
-
Detailed and comprehensive problem solving for Utilities related issues.
-
Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance and engineering on the assets.
-
Review content of daily check lists.
-
Execute and maintain effective planned and preventative maintenance for the plant and machinery.
-
Ensure Kimberly Clark planned, and preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to and audited / updated as and when required.
-
Engage with Key stakeholders to ensure OHSAct, Performance Standards, etc. and other relevant legislation/procedures are applied and enforced.

Key driver and owner of Utilities related items on Kaizen and Tactical sessions with Area Teams
-
Ensure minimal impact of Utilities availability to the plant.

Housekeeping:
-
Maintain world class levels of housekeeping according to the 5’s housekeeping standards.

General:
-
Provide technical expertise and direction to the mechanical engineering team and team leaders and drive technical capability and performance building.
-
Give input for the maintenance strategy on the Enstra Mill assets to provide continuous improvement in uptime and reliability.

Stand-in periodically for the Engineering Manager or other engineering / operations roles
-
Drive cost saving initiatives and hold group idea sessions.

Drives cost and energy saving solutions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
B.sc or B. Eng Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or N. Diploma, B-tech Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Millwright)
-
10 years' experience in Engineering of which 3-5 was spent in the Utilities space.
-
Excellent computer literacy.
-
Prior experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP PM would be an advantage.
-
Experience relating to the maintenance, operations, and legal requirements of machinery.
-
Good leadership qualities, interpersonal and communication skills.
