As a business partner, CPLE supports the all the activities of the Bank on a day-to-day basis in studying cases, playing an advisory and warning role in the event of non-compliance with the regulations. This partnership is essential in order to carry out our banking activity in accordance with the regulations and ensure the sustainable development of our business.
Mission:
The Compliance Division ensures the compliance with laws, rules and ethical principles specific to banking activities and investment services undertaken by the Group, as well as compliance with staff members' personal rules of good conduct and ethics; awareness-raising and training of all players in preventing non-compliance and reputational risks.
Moreover, in order to ensure that each person is aware of the regulations applicable to their scope of activity, CPLE has set up a mandatory training program aimed at enhancing the compliance culture of all employees on key subjects for the Group.
The Compliance department of SG Zürich is split into our two offices in Zürich and Geneva. This internship is based in the Geneva office.
As Member of the SG Zürich Compliance department in the Geneva office, you will have access to a broad range of Compliance topics which will allow you to learn many aspects of Compliance. There is going to be a strong focus on financial crime matters such as KYC, Commodity Trade Finance Transaction supervision, transaction review from Sanctions & Embargoes standpoint, permanent supervision controls etc.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Contribution to a broad range of Compliance topics
- Analyze KYC Onboarding and Review requests and issue a Compliance Opinion
- Commodity Trade Finance Transaction Monitoring
- Review of Transactions that include red flags
- Perform Permanent Supervision Controls on various Subjects
- Advise related to internal policies
- Contribution to various projects of the department
- Monitoring of gift & events
- Contribution to training actions
- Compliance reporting
- Ensure efficient Compliance advice
- Contribute to improve the technical setup of the department
- Handle KYC files and advise on transaction monitoring
- Handle Sanction screening alerts
Studies & experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, HFBF or Banking Apprenticeship
- Experience in Banking or Compliance would be considered a plus
Language skills:
- English: C1
- German: C1
- French would be considered an advantage
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of application
- Ability to learn new tools
