The Opportunity

Our local product group Insulation & Components is the technology leader in design and manufacture of high voltage transformer bushings. All renowned international companies of the electrical industry, active in power generation, transmission and distribution are among our customers. We have a top position in the high voltage bushing areas worldwide.

In this highly responsible and dynamic role, you will lead our Process Engineering team at MICAFIL in Zürich-Altstetten and ensure that we further strengthen our competitiveness and develop our Swiss branch to meet the global market growth in the field of energy. You are the architect of efficient and innovative processes and drive the technological development of our production landscape. With strategic vision and technical know-how, you will lead a dynamic team and design sustainable solutions that take quality, efficiency and competitiveness to the next level. How you’ll make an impact

• Lead and develop the process engineering, maintenance and facility team, including resource management and team development (10 FTEs)

• Analysis, design and implementation of efficient production and business processes to increase safety, quality and productivity 

• Identification and integration of new technologies and best practices to drive the continuous improvement process (CIP)

• Planning and implementation of projects (CAPEX) around process optimization and automation, including budget and resource management

• Ensuring compliance with quality standards, optimal work and maintenance instructions and relevant regulations (e.g. ISO, Lean, Six Sigma)

• Close collaboration with production, R&D, quality assurance and other relevant departments for holistic process design and improvement

• Development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and report to management

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering or a comparable field

• Several years of experience in process development or optimization incl. project management, ideally already in a leadership position

• Solid knowledge of lean management, Six Sigma and other process optimization methods.

• Proven experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams

• Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision making

• Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

• Fluent in German and English
