The firm is looking for a motivated and reliable professional, as part of a small team, to provide paralegal support for the firm and its trust company and its international pro-bono activities, working predominantly for the firm’s principal. The work and the people are interesting and we are hoping to find a dynamic and experienced paralegal with flair and initiative to work and grow with us. The office is run with state of the art technology and the firm's software is Windows based. A more detailed description of the position we are looking to fill is set out below:
- Assisting with local and international corporate and commercial law matters
- Drafting and reviewing of contracts and other legal documentation in English and in German
- Reviewing and reporting on proposed client transactions
- Supporting the trust officer with the administrative aspects of setting up and managing Swiss and foreign entities, including the participation in board and general meetings, creating agendas, taking minutes of meetings and follow-up
- Assisting with legal and tax issues relating to international leasing and licensing
- Assisting with compliance and reporting functions
- Acting as data protection officer and holding regular in-house training
- Providing support with property leases and other property documentation
- Monitoring changes to laws, guidelines, regulations, etc. applicable to the firm and submitting reports on pertinent changes
- Liaising with clients, service providers and external legal and tax advisers and attending meetings
- Correspondence with clients and other parties

Your qualifications:
- Either an English/Welsh, Scottish, Canadian, American, Australian, South African, Irish or New Zealand law degree or experience as a paralegal in an international legal environment
- Mother tongue English and fluent in German (written and oral, familiarity with German legal terms). Fluency in French, Spanish or Italian would be an asset but not essential
- Expertise in setting up and managing Swiss and foreign entities
