What to expect
- You prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly financial statements, presenting and explaining results to various stakeholders (e.g. CFO, Insurance Officer, Group).
- You prepare and contribute to various presentations for local Management / Board of Directors and Group Head Office.
- You coordinate and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial metrics while collaborating closely with your teammates and other departments, especially the actuarial department and life business teams.
- You manage end-to-end forward-looking financials (multi-year financial plan, forecast, preview).
- You regularly analyse deviations in the Plan compared to Actual and Targets (both Local and IFRS).
- You work together and support other important stakeholders, such as the business and actuarial department, in their day-to-day operations and prepare ad hoc analyses.
- You actively focus on process development, reporting harmonization and data improvements with an emphasis on automation and standardization, while continuously developing existing reports, dashboards, and monitoring systems
The skills you'll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in (Life) Controlling ideally within the insurance industry, as well as expertise in cross-functional insurance finance- and IT-projects.
- In-depth operative knowledge of controlling, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting methodologies and practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Proven expertise in IFRS 17 and the relevant financial KPIs and disclosures
- Highly independent way of working and attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills combined with the ability to prioritize multiple challenging complexities
- Actively driving-things-forward mentality with strong focus on successful delivery.
- Solution-oriented and collaborative personality with strong communication and relationship-building capabilities, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- End-user skills in SAP FI-CO/BW/S4 General Ledger and very good MS-Excel skills
- Further knowledge of insurance contract feeder systems, Prophet and Tagetik Consolidation is a benefit
- Good in German and English (both spoken and written). Italian is a plus.
