The Head of Regional Demand and Supply for BeLux and the Netherlands serves as the primary liaison between the regional Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) team and the commercial organizations of Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire End-to-End Supply Chain execution in these markets, ensuring that supply chain strategies align with the commercial needs and enabling local business success.
The role is also tasked with driving the development of supply chain initiatives to support business growth, leading the deployment of product and portfolio strategies, and acting as a crucial collaborator to translate local market demands into supply chain actions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Execution (30%)
- Simplify and communicate supply chain complexity to local commercial organizations.
- Own the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and handle the End-to-End supply chain performance for both markets.
- Own the new product launch process in collaboration with commercial and supply chain teams, ensuring efficient plans, timelines, and risk mitigation.
- Align supply chain strategies with commercial priorities, influencing portfolio decisions to support local growth.
2. Stakeholder Management & Commercial Alignment (30%)
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand local commercial strategies, product lifecycle management, and forecast drivers.
- Ensure alignment between local business needs and upstream supply chain, handling allocation, inventory, and crisis communications for Operating Companies (OpCo).
3. Inventory & Performance Management (15%)
- Accountable for Austria & Switzerland inventory targets, OTIF-D, and supply chain costs, contributing to the local commercial business objectives and IMSC goals.
4. Leadership & Team Development (25%)
- Lead the local Regional Demand and Supply team, encouraging a high-performance and inclusive culture aligned with the company's values and leadership imperatives.
- Drive talent development, with a focus on future capabilities like analytics and digital innovation.
- Promote organizational change through effective communication, partnerships, and stakeholder management.
Other Duties
Additional responsibilities include collaboration with internal forums (e.g., Commercial Leader forum, Monthly Business Review) and engaging in product lifecycle and demand planning activities.
Key Interfaces
- Internal: Partner with local commercial and supply chain leaders, as well as regional and global IMSC teams.
- External: Limited external collaborator engagement.
