Associate Investment Management Private Equity

Mill Reef Capital is a Zurich-based private equity secondaries investor specializing in opportunities in the smaller, non-traditional secondaries market. Founded in 2019, the firm has grown rapidly and advises funds with commitments exceeding EUR 700m. Building on the firm’s recent fundraising success and the exciting investment opportunities ahead, we are seeking a new Associate to join our team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for candidates to enter one of the fastest growing and most innovative areas of the private equity industry, working alongside an ambitious and highly entrepreneurial team.

Your Tasks:

• Perform due diligence on secondary investment opportunities which include market research, financial modelling, structuring, comparable company analysis, reference calls and meetings with fund managers.
• Prepare investment recommendations to be presented to the investment committee.
• Monitor transactions post-acquisition and address any specific requests for action.
• Support deal origination efforts and develop your own network over time.
• Supervise and train analysts & interns.

Your Profile:

• Excellent undergraduate degree in finance, economics or natural sciences. 
• 2-4 years’ work experience in bulge bracket investment bank, ideally with exposure to private equity and / or investment analysis.
• Proven work experience in market research and conducting analyses regarding potential investments.
• Advanced financial modelling skills (high proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel).
• Thorough understanding of financial statements and good commercial judgement.
• Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong work ethic and an ability to prioritize
• Proficiency in English. Any additional language is a strong plus, especially French, Italian or a Nordic language.
• Candidate needs to be eligible to work in Zurich, Switzerland.
