Our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for a highly motivated Analytical Scientist to join their Technical Research and Development team. This role focuses on dissolution and biopharmaceutics within late-stage pharmaceutical development, supporting drug characterization, analytical method optimization, and regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dissolution rate analysis of oral dosage forms, analytical separation techniques, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and document dissolution rate experiments, including biorelevant dissolution testing (USP I, II, and IV), HPLC analysis, and UV spectrophotometry
- Develop and optimize analytical methods for the characterization and quantification of drug substances and drug products, with a focus on oral dosage forms
- Analyze, interpret, and report analytical data to support drug development and regulatory submissions
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and meet project deadlines in all assigned tasks
- Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrument-related issues, providing scientifically sound solutions
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in accordance with GMP and internal guidelines
- Adhere to all relevant SOPs, quality directives, health and safety regulations, and environmental sustainability practices
- Support the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and contribute to daily lab operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally within technical research and development teams to drive innovation in analytical methodologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field
- 1 – 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in analytical development with a focus on dissolution testing (USP I, II, and IV)
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, particularly in quality control and biorelevant dissolution testing, including compendial and non-compendial methods
- Experience with HPLC analytics is an advantage
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Preferred software knowledge: MS Office, WinSotax (DR), and Chromeleon (HPLC)
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
