In this exciting role you will work in a dynamic environment and will be working as a part of the engaged Site Leadership team. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving daily production issues, managing department projects and supporting the local Operations Leadership Team in their day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives. This position is temporary for a duration of one year.
You will be based in Dübendorf. You will report to the Head of Operations.
Core Responsibilities
Production Problem Resolution
- Lead key production problem resolution initiatives
- Utilize necessary tools and/or other data sources to collect and analyse data and make fact based decisions and make recommendations on next steps
- Work with appropriate teams to resolve issues
- Track and report progress to key stakeholders
- Communicate lessons learned and share best practices across the site and region
Leadership Team Support
- Assist the Department Managers with projects. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to working with project managers and sponsors on completing existing projects, such as investment or Continuous Improvement projects
- Lead initiatives to reduce operational costs and costs of related support services
- Best practice implementation
- Participate in special project assignments and/or in multitask interdepartmental teams as assigned
- Support customer visits and audit preparation
Your professional profile includes:
- A strong technical background including a solid understanding of production process and processing equipment
- University degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g. Natural Sciences, Engineering)
- Industry experience in a comparable environment
- Good knowledge of manufacturing concepts, processes and hands-on experience
- Project management skills
- Fluent in German, Business fluent in English
