Currently we are seeking a Tax Planning Senior Professional this professional will be based in São Paulo and will be responsible for the Income Tax Planning & Compliance, provide technical support, reporting tools and general guidance on tax matters, as well as tax advice and counsel about tax matters in order to improve the ETR. Will also have some opportunity to work with VAT Planning.
Main Responsibilities

Bring ideas and projects for tax savings and tax initiatives to contribute to the business improve OP, ETR and cash efficiency.

Execute the implementation of tax savings and tax initiatives to contribute the business improve OP and efficiency on ETR.

Support the tax law compliance related to US GAAP income tax accounting and reporting, as well as transfer pricing matters.

Monthly prepare of CCH edit checks and ensure HFM reports.

Actively participate in the formulation of business strategies and plans in order to contribute to the achievement of the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) for the country and provide technical knowledge related to tax matters and answer questions from the different areas of the business.

Execute the achievement of tax saving and efficiency through proactive analysis, idea generation, recommendation and implementation activities that results in clear and profit improvement and operation improvement.

Review tax analysis and insights to the business to drive improvement of contribution margins through efficiency and compliance in the application of tax law.

Support the decision process from the business with studies, ideas and projects related to VAT taxes, such as ISS, ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI and PIS/Cofins.

Support the business changes with tax impacts studies related to mills, warehouses or suppliers' movement of goods.

Support the calculation and others tax impacts regarding lawsuits taken by the legal team about tax matters.

Support the accounting team with the calculation related to the provision of uncertain tax positions that require a specific reserve.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law or related with relevant experience with tax package process, income tax and local accounting purposes.

Advanced working knowledge in English and Spanish is a plus.

Demonstrative functional/technical, quantitative and analytical skills with ability to make recommendations.
