Your team
You will be joining the Group Sustainability Office, which is part of Corporate Functions (which include the Group’s non-banking activities). As a Graduate – Sustainability Analyst, you will focus on driving quantitative and qualitative analysis on various sustainability topics (e.g. biodiversity impacts and dependencies, planetary boundaries footprint, social impact measurement, progress on climate targets). Your work will support the advancement of the sustainability strategy across Pictet.
Our graduate programmes are intended for recent graduates from diverse backgrounds who possess a unique blend of data analysis and sustainability expertise. As part of this programme in the Group Sustainability Office, you will develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed in your future career at Pictet and have the opportunity to build a network of peers within the company.
We offer you a permanent position starting with a unique 18-month programme during which you will rotate through different teams.
At the end of the programme you will be ready to take full ownership of a position in the Group Sustainability Office. The position is based at the Pictet Group headquarters in Geneva.
Your role
You will gain a comprehensive overview of the work of Pictet’s Group Sustainability Office, including the sustainability strategy and research, asset stewardship, and stakeholder engagement and advocacy. The programme will include rotations to PAM Thematics, PAS Data & Analytics, Group Risk and business line sustainability teams.
Through the graduate programme, you will develop solid skills and acquire the expertise needed to contribute to the Group Sustainability Office’s priorities. In your role, you will conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on key sustainability topics. You will collect, aggregate and analyse sustainability data to shape and support the firm’s strategic priorities and frameworks. You will simplify complex topics into compelling and actionable recommendations for senior audiences. In parallel, you will support the Group Sustainability Office in driving and informing the sustainability strategy of the Group. You will also support the Group Sustainability Office in key sustainability reporting commitments where appropriate. Additionally, you will retrieve information and advocacy opportunities from key sustainability partners, and coordinate groupwide responses.
Your profile
- A Master’s degree in a sustainability-related field or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year to a maximum of two years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability topics, including but not limited to environmental change, just transition, and human rights.
- Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data to derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations in reports.
- Fluent in or native speaker of English, with French and any other languages a plus.
- Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
- Advanced coding skills are a plus, particularly in Python.
- Familiarity with the financial sector and its sustainability challenges.
- Adaptability and the ability to work independently, while also fostering collaboration across the firm.
