Role Overview:
The Firm is now seeking a dynamic, passionate and curious Junior Quantitative Analyst to join its successful investment team. This position offers the opportunity to closely work with the CIO on the development and implementation of quantitative strategies, models and systems. The ideal candidate has excellent mathematical and statistical skills, is proficient in Python, and brings a strong interest in and understanding of financial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and optimization of quantitative models for market analysis and asset pricing including leveraging AI toolsets where applicable.
- Perform rigorous statistical analysis on large datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and market trends.
- Contribute to the development of trading algorithms and risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate with the CIO, analysts and traders to implement strategies and provide data-driven insights.
- Perform backtesting of trading strategies and ensure their robustness across different market conditions.
- Automate data processing and analysis pipelines to improve efficiency and scalability of research efforts.
- Stay updated with the latest academic research and industry trends in quantitative finance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A strong academic background (master’s degree or higher) in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java. Experience with statistical libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, SciPy) is highly valued.
- A solid understanding of financial instruments, markets, and quantitative modelling techniques. Experience with Generative AI and LLM’s in the context of trading models and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills to present complex quantitative concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building and delivering systematic trading strategies.
- Experience with machine learning, optimization, or time-series analysis.
- Knowledge of financial modelling, asset pricing, or derivatives pricing.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, backtesting systems, or market data APIs.
