HEAD OF IT OPERATIONS (Geneva - Switzerland or London - UK)
We are seeking a Head of IT Operations to lead our IT service management (ITSM) strategy and drive operational excellence across our global federation.
This key leadership role will shape the future of IT support, infrastructure, and service delivery within the FIA, covering motorsport, mobility, and business operations.
As a Head of IT operation, you will report directly to the Digital Director.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
As Head of IT Operations, your key objectives will include:
- Define and implement a robust IT operations strategy aligned with FIA’s global objectives
- Transform IT Service Management (ITSM) by consolidating tools and processes into a central platform enhancing visibility, automation, and efficiency
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring high-quality support and infrastructure services across all departments and locations
- Manage relationships with key technology partners and service providers, including contract negotiations, SLA definition, and service performance management
- Drive service excellent through the adoption of ITIL best practices, proactive monitoring, and continuous service improvement
- Set and monitor performance metrics (SLA, OLA & OKRs) to track service delivery and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Lead IT asset management throughout the full lifecycle: hardware/software obsolescence, compliance, and procurement
- Develop and inspire a high-performing IT operations team, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture
- Optimisation of IT budget and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising service quality
PROFILE:
- Proven experience in leading IT operations and service delivery, with strong focus on transformation and optimization
- Experience in successfully leading, coaching, and developing staff within a service desk setting
- Fluent English (spoken & written); proficiency in another language is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in IT operations, service management, or infrastructure are highly desirable.
- Track record of developing KPIs and improving service performance
- Exhibits strong analytical skills, blending strategic vision with creative problem-solving
- You have broad technical proficiency across:
- Enterprise IT Platform :Active Directory, Microsoft 365, cloud identity management
- Cloud infrastructure: Azure and/or AWS
- Virtualisation & Containerisation: VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Docker
- Network Infrastructure: routing, switching, firewalling, wireless, SD-WAN
- Storage & Compute: SAN, vSAN, high-performance computing
