Energy Vault Solutions, a division within Energy Vault, is dedicated to delivering customer-focused energy storage products that merge Battery and Clean Hydrogen technologies. The Energy Vault Solutions team also develops and manages our AI/ML powered software applications that include EMS, Lifecycle Management, and Energy Trading Platforms.
Your Impact as a Director, Field Services:
Energy Vault is seeking a Director, Field Services to help manage a portfolio of projects executed by Energy Vault where Energy Vault has warranty obligations or hold LTSA contracts. Ideal candidate shall possess experience in managing services with full P&L responsibility from either Wind, Solar, Storage or other electrical generation resources.
- Manage a portfolio of projects which could include multiple technologies both generation and storage
- Lead negotiation of LTSA contracts with customers with assistance from procurement and legal and flow down scope of works with relevant T&C for subcontractors service providers and equipment suppliers
- Develop and launch a training program for field service technicians and managers
- Develop and launch a materials and tols tracking and inventory systems
- Develop and train team to lead RCA (root cause analysis) process to troubleshoot issues and mitigate failures
- Support product and project engineering teams in development of maintenance manuals and budgets
- Manage service providers and equipment suppliers ensuring maintenance requirements are being completed to maintain equipment uptime and availability per contract terms
- Develop performance KPI (key performance index) and work with asset management team to build into performance analytics and reporting cadence
- Develop best practices and tools for service execution and management
- Develop best EHS practices as applicable to services and ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Advanced degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with management
- Minimum 8 years of experience in management of services and operations in renewable power generation or service focused organization that includes electrical, controls, and network communication systems.
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management, and consensus-building skills.
- Knowledge of general and national codes and standards applicable to medium voltage power systems, Solar Energy or Energy storage systems is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and influence positively a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record.
- Must be able to travel to domestic locations as needed per project.
- Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
- Work will be performed in a standard office environment, in front of a computer monitor, and will involve sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing, and reaching.
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 40%.
