About the role
The role involves configuring, managing, and optimizing Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics implementations to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of website performance metrics. This includes setting up and maintaining GA4 tracking tags, defining a taxonomy for user actions, and implementing various pixels and tags on client websites. You will collaborate with global teams to align analytics strategies, troubleshoot tracking issues, and work with engineers to develop new pixel and tag products. Additionally, responsibilities include translating KPIs into technical requirements, providing instructions for post-backs in Mobile Measurement Platforms (MMPs), and ensuring high-quality data collection and reporting.
Main responsibilities:

Configure, manage, and optimize Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics implementations to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of website performance metrics.

Set up and maintain GA4 tracking tags on web pages, apps, messaging.

Define taxonomy for tracking relevant user actions (e.g., clicks, conversions, events).

Collaborate with global digital experience platform (DXP) team to align analytics strategies, permissions, and capabilities.

Quality Assurance including identifying and troubleshooting errors, analyzing issues, and proposing effective solutions.

Implement and manage various pixels and tags on client websites, including JavaScript and static image pixels.

Work with client and client service team to understand KPIs and translate desired KPIs to identify which pages need to be pixeled and what data is needed to deliver desired measurement.

Provide instructions for setting up post backs in Mobile Measurement Platforms (MMPs) and utilizing pixels to collect event specific data.

Collaborate with engineers to develop new pixel and tag products and enhance their functionality.
Key Qualifications and Experiences:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of experience with web tag management in Google Analytics or equivalent.
-
Proficiency in Google Analytics setup, including tracking code implementation, goal configuration, and data filtering.
-
Experience with Google Tag Manager for streamlined tag implementation and management.
-
Familiarity with other Google tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Data Studio).

Hands on experience implementing and troubleshooting pixel implementation across various site environments and tag management platforms such as GTM and Tealium.

Strong understanding of digital ad trafficking processes, ad serving technologies, and industry standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a drive to see projects through to completion.

Experience with ad servers such as DoubleClick, or Innovid.

Knowledge of programmatic advertising platforms, including DSPs and SSPs.

Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

Excellent communication skills to convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
