Introduction
We are looking for a motivated Associate in Drug Delivery and Preformulation Sciences to join a team in the area of pharmaceutical research and700 early development for our client. You will support the preclinical Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (pCMC) department within the Small Molecule Research organization. Together with the expert teams, you will assess the developability of drug candidates and develop preclinical formulations to advance the portfolio of promising drug molecules. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing physico-chemical characterizations, developing formulation concepts, and utilizing state-of-the-art digital laboratory tools within a GMP environment.
Responsibilities
- As a (pre-)formulation associate, you work with the preformulation project leader to plan and execute lab experiments for physico-chemical characterization of drug molecules, assessing their potential as medicines.
- You develop formulation concepts for pre-clinical studies across various administration routes in alignment with the respective scientist and perform formulation supplies and their analytical assessments independently.
- As a lab owner you are responsible for keeping the respective equipment operational, you organize maintenance services and follow all Roche guidelines and principles regarding Safety, Health and Environment.
- You use state of the art digital laboratory tools like electronic laboratory notebook and centralized data storage and contribute to the advancement and implementation of innovative digital solutions and automation workflows to enhance our operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- A successful apprenticeship, bachelor or master in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biopharmaceutics or similar field
- Min. 1-3 years experience in Pharmaceutical Industry or in related fields
- Sound understanding of the drug development process and expertise in designing, developing, and analyzing (preclinical) formulations using key scientific methods
- Creative thinking. Curious and passionate about scientific and technical innovation. Learn quickly and adapt your thinking to complex and evolving environments
- Fluent in English or German, the other language min. B1
- Operating in self-organized, agile teams within a flat hierarchy, you plan and execute tasks independently, join initiatives proactively, and collaborate inclusively across departments and global functions.
