Trainee within P&C Pricing & Modelling
Job Description
The intern will be part of the Actuarial Methods and Insights team within P&C Operations and will support the Pricing & Modelling Governance Lead. The internship offers a unique opportunity to:
- Have exposure to various departments at SCOR (Pricing and Modelling, P&C Reserving, Capital and Validation, Operational Risk Management, Audit function
- Understand key aspects of pricing and who are the main stakeholders of pricing outputs beyond the activity of underwriting business
Responsibilities
- Contribute to key projects such as the reinforcement of Internal Control System for Pricing & Modelling or the Working Group on Pricing parametrisation
- Assist in preparing renewals period (notably in supporting the annual review of pricing guidelines and handbooks, taking meeting minutes of committees)
- Assist on Solvency II related tasks (coordination of inputs to the Internal Capital Model, coordination of model changes)
- Assist in developing / performing specific pricing controls giving exposure to pricing concepts, maintenance of pricing inventory
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
- Previous internship in (re)insurance industry is not required but will be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to collaborate and deliver in a cross functional team environment.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft office suite
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
Required Education
Pursuing degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business (Finance or BA)
