Introduction
Unilabs is the largest provider of medical laboratory diagnostics for prescribers and hospitals in Switzerland and employs around 800 people.
Your Tasks
- Define optimal workflows in close collaboration with production to ensure efficient and reliable laboratory processes.
- Maintain LIS and middleware master data and ensure consistency between e-Unilabs and the online analysis catalog.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for LIS-related issues.
- Generate database statistics.
- Support the continuous improvement of process and system landscapes in the laboratory sector.
- Coordinate changes to LIS files with relevant personnel from Operations, Finance, Quality, and the IT department.
- Actively participate in and lead small projects to improve end-to-end processes together with the IT department.
- Ensure new installations, modifications, or updates, including documentation and staff training.
Your Profile
- Medical background (e.g., MPA, BMA).
- Knowledge of laboratory operations, microbiology, and immunohematology is an advantage.
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- High level of independence.
- Experience in a large, complex laboratory with LIS and middleware solutions is a plus.
- A technical certification as an IT specialist is not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and develop SOPs.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and accreditation requirements.
- Fluent in German and English; French is a significant advantage.
- Able to remain calm and maintain an overview in stressful situations.
