In order to strengthen our Operations team in Zurich we are looking for a:
Commercial Risk Switzerland Operations Lead (80 - 100%)
The Operations Team Leader will oversee the daily operations within the in-country operations teams, ensuring efficient processes, improving and automating processes, high-quality service delivery, and compliance with industry regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a good understanding of the relevant processes for a broker, and the ability to manage and motivate a team. The Team Leader will also be actively involved in the day-to-day tasks and operations, including transitioning tasks from the business into in-country operations as well as transitioning tasks to CoE where relevant.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the processing of insurance policies, renewals, and general client servicing
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
- Handle escalations and resolve complex issues.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Actively participate in daily operational tasks and ensure timely completion of work assignments.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of tasks from the business to in-country operations as well as from in-country operations to CoE
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance broking
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and generally technology able
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
