This role plays a pivotal part in aligning our New Product Development (NPD) initiatives with the Vetropack 2030 Strategy. You’ll have the chance to lead cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and bring innovative ideas to life while shaping the future of sustainable packaging solutions.

Position Overview

Group NPD Manager role bridges innovation, marketing, production, and customer insights, ensuring efficient development cycles and seamless transitions from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Align NPD initiatives with strategic objectives, including sustainability goals and customer segmentation.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Marketing, Performance Management, Innovation and Sales to create a robust innovation roadmap for the rigid packaging and Food & Beverage industries.
• Implement agile methodologies and best practices to review and optimise the NPD process, reinforcing a stage-gate methodology to improve product innovation rates: Define ownership, templates, timelines, and success criteria for NPD projects.
• Develop and present business cases for new products and services, while manage risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
• Foster a culture of innovation and process improvement through continuous engagement and training.

Requirements

• University Degree
• Experience:
• 3+ years in New Product Development (preferably leading NPD process). Experience in glass industry or glass packaging will be a significant advantage.
• 5+ years in a leadership capacity, managing cross-functional teams.
• Proven expertise in stage-gate methodologies, risk management and process optimisation.
• Familiarity with sustainability drivers and industry regulations.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
• English C1 level.
