About the role:
As a Buying Specialist TV is responsible for planning and buying television advertising spots for clients.
They work closely with the media planning team, client’s consultants and vendors to ensure effective ad placements that reach the target audience, maximize campaign impact, and deliver value for money. The Buying Specialist TV must analyze data to optimize TV spend and performance, keeping up with the latest industry trends and pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Media Buying :
- Secure optimal pricing and placement for TV ads, ensuring cost efficiency while delivering maximum audience reach;
- Monitor and manage inventory to ensure delivery and quality of purchased media.
Campaign Execution:
- Oversee the execution of TV advertising campaigns from booking to airtime,
- Collaborate with media planners to ensure that TV ad spots align with overall campaign strategies and target audiences;
- Adjust media plans in real-time based on performance data and changing market conditions.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse campaign performance monthly & weekly;
- Provide detailed post-buy analyses and reports, offering insights and recommendations for optimizing future buys.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key media vendors, TV networks, and partners;
- Attend regular meetings with clients or internal teams.
Market Research & Trends:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities in the TV advertising space, including OTT (Over-the-Top) and streaming platforms;
- Utilize audience data to inform buying decisions and explore new advertising formats or technologies.
Budget Management:
- Monitor and manage campaign budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals;
- Reconcile final costs, managing discrepancies, and ensuring timely invoicing.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in TV;
- Buying experience in other media types is a plus;
- Great social skills, resilience and flexibility;
- Independent, precise and structured way of working is what we are looking for;
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office Package, Leading Media and EvoAd;
- Excellent business English, German is a plus;
- Good connection to media partners, clients, colleagues.
