Melioris is a Swiss consulting company established in 2004 exclusively focused on Procurement. We offer companies and public organizations a diversified range of services related to purchasing, in particular the costs optimization of direct and indirect spends and the reinforcement of the maturity of the purchasing organization. We also assist our clients in the recruitment and the staffing of profiles specialized in purchasing. Our clients are both SMEs and large international companies with their subsidiaries, based in Switzerland and in bordering countries.
We are currently looking for a Project Buyer (m/f/x) for one of our clients. This client is a multinational company specializing in construction machinery, mining equipment, aerospace components, and appliances.
The position is temporary position based in the canton of Fribourg.

Profile:

Bachelor's/Master's in Engineering, Economics, Management, or Purchasing

3+ years of experience in purchasing and project management

Strong technical knowledge

Languages: English (C1), French (B2), and German (A2).

Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and e-procurement tools.

Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, problem-solving.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Adaptability, multitasking and resilience.

Team player with a structured and proactive approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, oversee, and track all project-related purchasing activities, ensuring alignment with costs, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Manage purchasing activities while addressing project-specific needs such as certifications and co-development.

Oversee and ensure the achievement of project targets for direct material costs, procurement investments, and ramp-up costs.

Act as the purchasing representative in the project core team, providing reporting, risk analysis, and interdepartmental synchronization.

Ensure supplier decisions align with project demands, technological standards, and quality expectations.

Drive improvement initiatives for defense-specific supplier panel development, including defining KPIs, standards, and procedures.

Handle NDA launches, RFI/RFQ processes, new supplier selection and audits, negotiations, and supplier nominations.

Manage and maintain supplier information in the ERP system.

Enhance processes, implement best practices, and improve templates.
