Technical Business Analyst Description

If so, we’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Zürich. This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with in-person collaboration at our Zurich office.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into tangible deliverables including functional, non-functional and transition requirements
• Facilitate migration activities such as data extraction, transformation and loading using SQL, scripting and automation tools, ensuring data integrity and resolving any issues in collaboration with engineering teams
• Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including business representatives, SMEs, development and QA teams
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of current state (as-is), propose future state (to-be) solutions and identify any gaps
• Employ various techniques to elicit requirements effectively
• Define business goals, needs and objectives
• Plan the business analysis approach covering aspects like information management, stakeholder engagement and communication including artifact templates, document structure and process flows
• Document requirements meticulously according to the chosen framework, BA approach and the definition of ready (e.g., use cases, epics, user stories with acceptance criteria)

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of BA experience with a strong technical background
• Ability to support solution testing/UAT
• Proficiency in SQL scripting for independent data analysis
• Expertise in managing, creating and identifying inconsistencies in project requirements using tools like JIRA, Confluence and GitLab
• Experience in arranging and facilitating meetings and workshops with the stakeholders
• Experience in using of visual modelling notations (UML, BPMN), wireframes and diagrams
• Fluency in English with a minimum B1 proficiency in German or French
