Mission:
The Localization team is at the forefront of developing sophisticated features for our industrial indoor drone systems. It focuses on enhancing the technology that allows drones to precisely localize themselves in indoor environments, specializing in the creation and maintenance of fast, accurate, and robust mapping and state estimation algorithms.
Your Role:
- Design, develop, test, and improve existing and novel algorithms related to our industrial vision-based localization & mapping technology
- Identify and contribute to improvements of tools and processes related to deployment and manufacturing of our localization technology
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and take ideas to production
- Ensure reliable localization performance in the field through rigorous evaluation, monitoring, and root cause analysis
Your Experience:
- Degree MSc/PhD in computer science, robotics, or related fields
- Extensive experience with the development of production-grade real-world, vision-based localization algorithms (SLAM) for resource-constrained platforms
- Strong C++, Python, and software engineering skills - particularly in an embedded context
- Solid understanding of state estimation, vision-based localization, deep learning, optimization, and computer vision
Additional plus: - Experience with developing, testing, and deploying high-quality, scalable software solutions for complex systems
- Experience with handling, processing, and visualizing data for monitoring and performance evaluation purposes
- Experience with development of autonomous robotic systems (particularly drones)
- Experience with agile working principles
- Familiarity with software version control (git) and continuous integration
