Our Focus-Track Graduate Programme is an 18-month journey designed to unleash your full potential, offering three rotations, including an international assignment. This unique opportunity will immerse you in Julius Baer’s global network, provide hands-on experience, and lay the foundation for a thriving career in wealth management.
Join the Division IWMS and become part of the Swiss & International Investment Management team in Zurich. Our programme is specifically designed to equip you with the skills, expertise, and network necessary to excel in the fast-paced world of portfolio management. Start in Multi-Asset Portfolio Management team based in Zurich, to further deepen the knowledge in all major financial asset classes: bonds, equities, currencies, alternative investments, commodities, and funds. Thereafter, you'll have the opportunity to gain expertise in designing and implementing bespoke investment solutions, to meet the complex needs of institutional clients, while participating in an international assignment, working abroad for 4 months and expanding your professional network globally. Finally, collaborate with our Markets team in Zurich to gain exposure to the trading floor and work closely with experienced traders, salespeople, and researchers to understand market dynamics, trends, and client needs.

YOUR CHALLENGE
What to work on?

Being part of a dynamic team of dedicated investment professionals

Supporting our investment experts in providing investment advice and managing portfolios (Funds and Mandates)

Collaborating in the daily business tasks of the Investment team including representation
-
Analyse and optimize aggregated client portfolios along the client’s preferences and restrictions

Provide investment solutions and services to existing and prospective clients

Working on and preparing of customer inquiries, investment proposals and portfolio analyses
-
Developing investment ideas based on thorough market and instrument analyses

Contributing to strategic and organizational initiatives as well as projects
What to learn?

You will work closely with the Portfolio Managers and Investment Advisors and support them in various topics in their day-to-day business as well as projects

YOUR PROFILE

Master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences with above-average grades in economics, banking, finance, candidates from other fields and with a passion for financial markets can also apply (sciences, business, hospitality) (graduation max. 12 months ago)

Initial practical experience in the financial industry and expertise in banking products and financial markets are an asset

Keen interest in financial markets and financial institutions

Strong analytical, conceptual skills and fast thinker

Very good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Independent, resilient, and team-oriented personality

Entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with the willingness to take responsibility

Fluency in English, German and other languages an advantage
