Your team
Corporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units and include the Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Corporate Office, Risk and Tax departments.
You will join the Group Operational Risk Management team, where you will be involved in control testing activities.
Your role
The Control Testing Specialist is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry best practices. This role involves conducting detailed assessments, identifying control weaknesses and providing recommendations for improvements. The specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure that control processes are robust and effective in mitigating risks.
• Planning and executing control testing activities to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls. This would include performing detailed walkthroughs and testing of controls, including process reviews, transaction testing and data analysis.
• Documenting test results, including observations and recommendations.
• Preparing comprehensive reports on control testing activities and presenting findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Assisting in the identification and assessment of risks associated with various business processes and functions.
• Providing guidance and support to business units in developing and implementing effective controls and ensuring that all significant risks are identified, assessed and mitigated. This would include identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Ensuring that control testing activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies, and staying up-to-date on changes and industry best practices.
Your profile
• University degree in Finance or a qualification deemed equivalent. A postgraduate diploma.
• At least 3-5 five years’ experience in a similar role or a role in Banking Operations.
• Excellent writing skills, both in English and French.
• The successful candidate must be resident in Switzerland.
As the successful applicant you should be methodical, thorough in your approach to your work and able to show initiative. You will possess very strong analytical skills together with sound technical and interpersonal skills as well as being able to show diplomacy when required. You will also have no difficulty in working on your own in addition to being adaptable and able to reach set targets.
