Our client, a leading international insurance company, has a requirement for a
Roles and Responsibilities
Implementing the company's underwriting strategy, portfolio and customer/channel propositions that optimize local and regional business opportunities while taking into account the companies’ strategy and risk appetite;
Supporting the Underwriting community by underwriting this market segment and helping execute on their business strategy;
Authorising and/or making recommendations with respects to Commercial Property and risk exposures while recognising local risk appetites and coordinating this into a final underwriting decision;
Monitor the marketplace to identify, assess and make recommendations regarding underwriting opportunities and/or threats presented by new and emerging risks within the market;
Identify and develop opportunities for cross-company co-operation and synergies within the wider companies group offerings;
Delivering effective oversight and underwriting risks in line with agreed policy and risk appetite, reporting and making recommendations to the management;
Developing broker and client relationships to optimise opportunities to lead business, arranging or attending regular meetings, presentations and events.
Experience
Significant underwriting experience within the Commercial Property markets of Austria, France and Switzerland
Experience with market wordings, trends, insurance and reinsurance practices
Proven relationship building, communication, influencing and negotiation skills
Strong language skills preferably French and/or German as well as English will be essential for performance within the role
