We are looking for a talented Risk and Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team and help us navigate the complexities of today's regulatory environment and risk landscape.
Your Role
As a Risk and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company's (qualitative) risk management and compliance frameworks in close collaboration with the Chief Risk and Compliance Officers. You will work with key departments to identify, assess and mitigate operational and other risks while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
Your key responsibilities are to
•
lead and oversee the company’s qualitative risk management framework including the Internal Control System (ICS) and the Information Security Management System (ISMS),
•
proactively develop and maintain the risk management and compliance frameworks, processes and policies,
•
identify, assess, and monitor risks across various business functions, including financial, operational, legal, and regulatory risks in close collaboration with key business function owners,
•
provide expert guidance and advice to senior management on risk- and compliance issues and monitor relevant regulatory changes including the preparation and presentation of regular,
•
prepare and present regular risk and compliance reports to senior management,
•
develop and deliver training programs for staff to ensure awareness of risk management and compliance best practices.
Working in a small and dynamic organization, this role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on and pragmatic mentality. The ideal candidate has a strong background in risk and compliance management coupled with a good understanding of key business functions.
Your Profile
•
University degree (Bachelor's degree or higher), primarily in the areas of Law, Insurance or (Business) Economics or Natural Sciences
•
Minimum three years of relevant experience in Risk and Compliance functions in (re)insurance or financial institutions
•
Familiarity with Internal Control System (ICS) and relevant risk management and compliance frameworks and policies; experience in developing information security management systems (ISMS) is a plus
•
Enthusiastic and forward-looking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
•
Excellent team player with the ability to communicate effectively across business functions.
•
Strong sense of reliability and responsibility.
•
Proficient and effective knowledge of MS-Office products and Swiss GRC
•
Language skills: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, on a business level is a must. The ability to communicate in German, both written and spoken, would be a distinct advantage.
