In summer 2025, the Aebi Schmidt Group will merge with the US-based Shyft Group, nearly doubling its total revenue. The new publicly listed company will be traded on NASDAQ in New York. Due to a succession plan, we are looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to take on security responsibility for the newly merged group at our Zurich or Burgdorf location!

As CISO, you will be responsible for the global information security strategy and operational security. You will directly manage one person in the field of IT Security Engineering who is based in Poland.

Your Challenge

• Strategic Responsibility for Information Security
  You will develop and implement a comprehensive IT security strategy and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 standards. At the same time, you will maintain and optimize the Information Security Management System (ISMS), develop policies and concepts, and harmonize processes and systems – especially in the context of the merger with the Shyft Group.
• Consulting and Risk Management
  You will advise executive management as well as IT and business departments on all security matters, conduct risk and protection needs analyses, and support management in business continuity. In addition, you will plan and coordinate penetration tests in collaboration with external partners, regularly lead IT Security Committee meetings, and support the sales organization in the preparation of proposals.
• Operational Security Responsibility
  You will be responsible for handling security incidents, implementing security measures, and maintaining ISO certification. This also includes monitoring and optimizing existing security measures and managing physical security systems such as access control.
• Training and Awareness Programs
  You will promote security awareness within the company by organizing and conducting training and awareness campaigns. You will also regularly evaluate and optimize security awareness throughout the organization.

Your Profile

• Extensive experience in a comparable role (IT Security Officer, IT Security Manager, CISO, etc.)
• University degree (BSc/MSc) in IT Security, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or similar
• You are comfortable at the intersection of IT and business thanks to your broad expertise in IT Security Management
• Familiarity with ISO 27000 standards and hands-on experience in their implementation
• Strong communication skills that allow you to interact confidently and convincingly with stakeholders at all levels
• A humorous, team-oriented, and service-minded personality
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage
